Arkansas Public Policy Panel
The Arkansas Public Policy Panel believes that people have the ability and the right to define their own community visions, challenges, and solutions in a fair, democratic process. By organizing local and independent grassroots organizations, networking groups together into regional councils, and building a statewide coalition, they are building a base for social justice in Arkansas.

The Panel supports 72 groups or committees, 100 developing leaders, and projects in 28 Arkansas counties. These groups and leaders are meeting local needs, holding elected officials accountable, hosting candidate forums, and addressing key long-term issues like the education achievement gap.

East Arkansas Youth Consortium
The East Arkansas Enterprise Community Arkansas Land and Farm Development Corporation have teamed up within the Mid South Delta Initiative to form the East Arkansas Youth Consortium.

The Consortium’s mission is to implement and enhance youth service delivery programs and activities. The youth initiative will focus on careers in agriculture, general business, entrepreneurial training, and technology. This comprehensive model for youth is a major step in building a stronger future workforce. The project will offer a system that gives youth and young adults a high quality basic education--information and skills needed to successfully enter the workforce.

Through an array of youth service delivery programs, our plan seeks to provide youth entrepreneurship and micro-business enterprises for youth and young adults, entry level employment opportunities, internships and preparation for continuing education, and training. The project will expand career awareness among youth and improve linkages between school and work.
